The Pahrump Valley is one of the fastest-growing areas in Nevada. Pahrump was named by the Southern Paiutes, who occupied the region centuries ago. “Pah,” meaning water, and “Rimpi,” meaning rock, eventually were combined into “Pahrump,” which reflects the scenic surroundings of the Spring Mountains to the east and the Nopah Vista Mountains to the west.
